Remedy Education are seeking a creative Music Teacher for a secondary SEMH school in Leyton. You will deliver engaging music lessons, build strong relationships and support students with SEMH needs to improve confidence and communication.

The role is full-time with an ASAP / September start option, offering the chance to bring creativity and structure to a rewarding setting. Experience with SEMH/PRU and a patient, resilient approach are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or strong relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Music to secondary-aged students.
• SEMH, PRU or Alternative Provision experience is highly desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Creative, patient and resilient approach.
• Confident engaging students who may struggle with mainstream education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons to secondary-aged students
• Use practical and creative activities to encourage participation
• Support pupils with SEMH, challenging behaviour and additional needs
• Help students build confidence, self-expression and communication through music
• Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities
• Maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff and the wider school team
