Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking an Artistic Learning Support Worker to join a well-established SEND school in Telford. You will use creative approaches to support pupils with complex needs, helping them engage with education and develop life skills in a nurturing environment.

You will work one-to-one and in small groups, collaborating with teachers to deliver personalised learning strategies using art, drama, music and sensory activities tailored to EHCP targets.

Qualifications

• Background in art, drama, music or related fields.
• Experience with children or young people, ideally SEND.
• Understanding of autism and SEMH in educational settings.
• Patient, empathetic, adaptable and responsive to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' educational, social and emotional development through creative activities.
• Use art, drama, music, movement and sensory approaches to encourage engagement.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to EHCP targets.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Support emotional regulation and participation in daily routines.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning strategies.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where pupils feel valued.
