Job summary

Kingham Hill School, part of the Dean Close Foundation, is seeking a practical, enthusiastic and highly organised Design Technology Technician to support our Design Technology Department. This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong workshop skills and a passion for hands-on learning to play a key role in developing creative and technical experiences for our pupils.

Qualifications

• Practical experience using hand and machine tools for wood and metalwork.
• Strong workshop skills and hands-on learning mindset.
• Ability to support pupils and staff in practical activities while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of workshops and sustain a safe learning environment.
• Maintain and service workshop equipment and tools.
• Prepare materials for practical activities and assist pupils and staff.
• Support the Maintenance Department during school holiday periods.
