Job description

About the Role

Make a difference with your words. We're seeking a talented Creative Copywriter to craft impactful messages in healthcare.

You'll work in a team partnering with a talented Art Director across a broad range of clients and therapy areas. This collaborative partnership between copywriter and art director is crucial for developing impactful and effective healthcare communication campaigns. You'll use creativity to help people living with a variety of health conditions, working closely with the wider team to uncover and tell fascinating truths and produce award-winning creative work. You'll sit within the conceptual team working with experts from across the business to create work without boundaries - we call this borderless creativity.

As a Copywriter, your craft is incredibly important, and you'll be passionate about producing wonders with words.

There are several ongoing initiatives within Ogilvy Health outside of client work that you can choose to get involved in, including our culture and social team and our various fantastic DEI groups, created to champion diversity in the industry, our agency, and our work.

You will discover that we are a very friendly, non-hierarchical, eclectic team, bound together by a desire to do the best work of our lives.

What You’ll Need

You'll have an eye for detail and a passion for creating groundbreaking work. We would love to see your portfolio showcasing your ability to understand and clearly execute a brief. You're a conceptual thinker and great with clients. You seek inspiration from the external environment and have fresh thinking and original ideas.

You don't need to have experience within the healthcare space, but you'll be intrigued by it and passionate about making a difference here. Therapy areas you could be involved in include oncology, pain, oral health, and mental health - you'll be open to learning and unafraid to ask questions.

  • Exceptional Writing Skills: Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive copy across various formats, including digital, print, and video.
  • Conceptual Thinking: Proven ability to generate original and innovative ideas that align with client objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Client Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and experience presenting and defending creative work to clients.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with Art Directors, designers, and other team members to develop integrated campaigns.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work that demonstrates conceptual thinking, strong writing skills, and an understanding of different media.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work across multiple therapy areas and adapt writing style to different audiences and communication channels.
  • Passion for Healthcare: A genuine interest in healthcare and a desire to make a positive impact in the field.
