Uplift is seeking a Creative Content Manager to lead the creative content and social media strategies for its public campaigns in the UK and beyond.

You will work closely with the Head of Campaigns and the Digital Mobilisation team to develop and execute powerful social media and multimedia storytelling, ensuring production standards and the growth of creative capability across campaigns.

Creative Content Manager

Location: Remote (within UK)

Salary: Within Grade 4 of Uplift’s payscale - From £56,126 to £62,915

Hours: Standard working hours 9.00 - 17.30, with availability to attend external events which may fall outside these hours. Flexible working requests will be considered.

Length of contract: Fixed 12 month contract

About us

Uplift supports efforts to create a rapid and fair transition away from oil and gas production in the UK.

We urgently need to phase out oil and gas drilling to stay within safe climate limits. Yet, despite having renewable resources in abundance, the UK remains Europe’s second largest oil and gas producer.

We can and must be ambitious about moving past oil and gas production, while empowering and supporting workers and communities who rely on the industry for their livelihoods.

Working with everyone from policy-makers and Parliamentarians, to academics and campaigners, Uplift undertakes research, analysis and campaigning to support a rapid and fair transition away from oil and gas production in the UK.

Role summary

As Creative Content Manager, you will work to ensure that the creative content and social media strategies of Uplift’s public campaigns meet the needs of the current political and economic context within the UK and globally, whilst strengthening the movement away from oil and gas. You will work closely with the Head of Campaigns, the Digital Mobilisation Manager and our three Campaign Managers to develop and execute powerful social media and creative communication strategies to support a just transition away from oil and gas in the UK.

You will be accountable for the creative communication strategies across Uplift’s campaigns: including social and multimedia creative, visual and video storytelling, creative concepts, production standards, commissioning, experimentation and development of creative capability. This role is managed by and works closely with the Head of Campaigns.
