Job summary

The University of Southampton is launching a new role to support the Creative Computing programme on its international campus in Gurgaon, India. You will deliver technical guidance in programming, hardware and electronics to undergraduates, and mentor students both on campus and online, using tools like Arduino, Raspberry Pi and 3D modelling.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience guiding students in creative technologies.
• Aptitude for solving problems and helping students realise projects.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals from varying backgrounds.
• Specialist knowledge of race, multiculturalism and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical guidance in programming, hardware and electronics to students.
• Support on-campus and online teaching for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D modelling and audiovisual production.
• Foster creative coding using Processing, Open Frameworks and VS Code.
• Guide students in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and node-based platforms such as Scratch, VVVV and Touch Designer.
