Opportunity in a Special Needs School in Peterlee

We are seeking passionate individuals with creative backgrounds in art, music, or acting to join a special needs school in Peterlee as Creative Classroom Assistants.

Role Overview: You will help foster creativity and support students in developing skills such as hand-eye coordination, speech and language, social and communication abilities, independence, and cognitive skills within a vibrant sensory environment. Your responsibilities include:

1. Engaging students through activities like music, art, P.E., and cooking.
2. Providing personalized support to enhance communication and coordination.
3. Assisting with sensory integration and collaborating with teachers to assess student needs.
4. Ensuring adherence to the school's principles and policies.

Qualifications and Skills: Prior experience working with children, a passion for making a positive impact, and dedication to student learning.

Details: - Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.
- Pay depends on skills and experience, inclusive of statutory holiday pay.
