Job summary

The Coleshill School in Coleshill, England, invites applications for Head of Creative Arts and Technology. This DT-qualified teacher will lead and develop our Creative Arts and Technology provision, shaping the curriculum, raising achievement, and inspiring students to grow creativity, practical skills and confidence.

The successful candidate will lead the department, drive high standards, collaborate with staff, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Qualifications

Qualified teacher of Design and Technology with a strong subject knowledge.
Experience delivering high-quality DT teaching in secondary school.
Experience leading a curriculum area or department or readiness for significant leadership.
Ability to inspire and raise achievement through effective leadership.
Commitment to professional development and collaboration across the school.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Creative Arts and Technology department with clear direction.
Deliver a broad, engaging and ambitious curriculum across Creative Arts and Technology.
Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons engaging students and challenging them.
Monitor and evaluate teaching, learning and student progress across the department.
Use assessment data to identify development areas and improve outcomes.
Support colleagues through collaboration and CPD to raise standards.
Promote high standards of behaviour and engagement across the department.
Contribute to curriculum development and strategic planning within the school.
