Job summary

Colten Care in Bournemouth is seeking an Activities organiser to brighten daily life for residents through creative, varied activities and community involvement. The role focuses on delivering engaging plans, coordinating transport, and coordinating with care teams to embed activities in everyday routines.

You will be part of an award-winning, family-owned care home group with a focus on keeping residents at the heart of everything we do.

Qualifications

Friendly, approachable, patient and bursting with enthusiasm.
A good communicator who enjoys chatting and listening to people's stories.
Creative with plenty of ideas for fun, stimulating activities.
Organised and confident at planning events and encouraging others to get involved.
Strong IT skills
Above all, someone who genuinely cares about making a difference to our residents

Responsibilities

Create a varied calendar of activities reflecting residents' interests.
Support residents on minibus trips which can involve personal care.
Support residents one-to-one as well as in group settings, ensuring everyone feels included.
Build strong relationships with residents, families and friends to understand what brings them joy.
Bring the local community into the home by arranging visits, outings and special guests.
Work closely with the care team so activities are a natural part of daily life.
Complete administration tasks to keep records up to date.
Work with the team to create visuals for marketing about the team's work.
