Job summary

Chorlton Place Nursing Home in Manchester is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life through engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs, including residents living with dementia.

The role welcomes experienced candidates or those new to care, with training and support provided.

Qualifications

• A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial, with transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and enable inclusive participation for all residents, including those living with dementia.
• Work as part of the wider team to create a positive, stimulating environment where residents feel valued, active and connected.
