Job summary

Serenita Care Home in Weston-super-Mare is seeking an Activities Coordinator to lead a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver activities tailored to individual interests and care needs, build strong relationships with residents including those living with dementia, and work as part of the wider team to create a welcoming, active environment.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Experience in activities or similar role beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to interests and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and support inclusive participation for all residents, including those with dementia.
• Work as part of the wider team to create a positive and stimulating environment.
