Job summary

MadiganGill is seeking an experienced Crane Lift Supervisor with a groundworks background for a site in Portishead. The role is based on-site with immediate start and duration until February, offering a competitive pay rate of £29.00 per hour.

The successful candidate will oversee all lifting operations and ensure compliance with safety standards and site procedures. You will liaise with crane operators and the site team, perform pre-lift checks, and maintain strict health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Crane Lift Supervisor qualification (with CSCS hologram).
• Experience as Crane Lift Supervisor on site.
• Full PPE and hi-vis clothing required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations per lift plan.
• Ensure lifting activities comply with legislation and site procedures.
• Brief and coordinate with crane operators, slingers/signallers, and site team before each lift.
• Carry out pre-lift checks; confirm equipment is certified and fit for purpose.
• Monitor operations for health and safety compliance.
• Report safety concerns, incidents, or defects to management.
• Maintain clear communication with all lifting personnel.

MadiganGill are currently recruiting for an experienced Crane Lift Supervisor with a background in Groundworks for a site in Portishead.

Location: Portishead
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until February

Pay Rate: £29.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations in accordance with the approved lift plan.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and in line with current legislation and site procedures.
• Brief and coordinate with crane operators, slinger/signallers, and the site team before each lift.
• Carry out pre-lift checks and ensure lifting equipment is suitable, certified, and fit for purpose.
• Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment defects to site management.
• Maintain clear communication with all personnel involved in lifting activities.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS hologram) Crane Lift Supervisor qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Crane Lift Supervisor.
• Full PPE, including hi-vis clothing.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations, health and safety, and site procedures.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
