EMR Group in Glasgow is seeking a reliable General Yard Operative to load and move scrap materials on site. You will safely operate 360 Material handlers and support stock rotation and loading activities.

This role requires a hands-on approach, good teamwork, and a safety-first mindset. Training can be provided, and Saturday rota work may be required.

Formación

• Experience operating 360 Material handlers or similar equipment (training can be provided).
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• A good team player who enjoys hands-on outdoor work.
• Flexible to perform both 360 Material handler and GYO duties.
• Strong awareness of safety and safe working practices.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate 360 Material handlers to load ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials into bulk and rigid vehicles.
• Carry out stock rotation, back-stacking, and support stock takes.
• Complete General Yard Operative (GYO) duties as required, including loading, unloading, processing, and moving materials around site.
• Assist customers and visitors on site, providing good customer service.
• Carry out routine checks on plant, equipment, and work areas.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Work safely at all times, following company procedures and health & safety requirements.
