Job summary

Local Recycling Group is seeking a skilled 360º Machine Operator to join our growing yard operations. You will operate 360º excavators and related machinery, support ground tasks, and help maintain a safe, efficient work environment in a busy scrap yard setting.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience with 360º equipment, NPORS certification, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. On-site work with strict health and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience driving a 360º excavator.
• Must possess NPORS or equivalent plant license for 360º excavator.
• Commitment to safety and following site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate 360º material handlers and related machinery on site.
• Assist with vehicle processing and keep the workflow moving.
• Keep the work area clean, organized and safe at all times.
• Work closely with the team to maintain an efficient yard.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and site procedures.

This IS NOT a
'Sit in the cab all day' Job

Yes, your primary role is operating the 360º material handlers such as the Liebherr LH22 Powerhand, Fuchs MHL320 Scrap Handler and supporting machinery. But you’re also expected to help your team mates on the ground.

• Operate Forklift Trucks & other machinery
• Get out of the machine and support yard operations when needed
• Assist with vehicle processing and keeping the workflow moving
• Keep your work area clean, organised and safe
• Work closely with the team to maintain an efficient yard
• Work to strict health and safety standards at all times, following all site procedures
