Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an Inspector to perform thorough examinations of cranes and lifting equipment in line with legislative standards, procedures, and client specs. The role requires identifying defects and assessing safety implications for continued use.

You will inspect equipment, make competence-based decisions, liaise with client points of contact, and produce clear reports detailing methods and findings. Strong English communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• OGUK Medical and industry safety training required.
• Minimum 2 years lifting equipment examination experience.
• BOSIET/CAEBS/MIST are preferred safety qualifications.
• IRATA rope access level 1 is required or equivalent.
• Strong written and spoken English with IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and thoroughly examine lifting equipment in accordance with statutory requirements and company/client procedures.
• Decide inspection results within competence limits and report clearly.
• Liaise with client focal point and onshore management as required.
• Follow Oceaneering procedures and manage database entries accurately.
• Ensure inspections meet applicable specifications and deadlines.
• Produce concise reports detailing methods, results, and any limitations.
• Support HSE audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
