Job summary

Special Steel Group, based at our Sheffield site, is recruiting a Yard Person to join our busy operation. You will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, capturing transfers in the system, and ensuring paperwork is completed accurately for despatch.

The role requires a valid pendant crane and slinging license, plus adherence to all H&S instructions and housekeeping standards on site in Sheffield.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid pendant crane and slinging license.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials according to procedure.
• Check incoming/outgoing material against documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain shipping documentation, manifests and receipts; input data into the system.
• Prepare orders for despatch and print delivery notes.
