Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is seeking a Crane Fitter/Engineer for a permanent, full-time role in Chesterfield (S43). The job covers servicing, maintaining and repairing cranes, goods lifts, and bespoke machinery, with a 39-hour week and overtime opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have mechanical fitting or engineering experience, preferably in lifting equipment or heavy plant, and should demonstrate fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Good general engineering skills and ability to fault-find and diagnose problems.
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and DC electrics is required.
• Willingness to meet deadlines and work within a manufacturing team.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test our range of equipment (cranes and related systems).
• Maintain cranes at factory and customer sites.
• Live within the Clowne area with occasional site work across the UK.
• Sign-off lifting equipment as safe to use when trained.
