Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd invites a skilled Crane Fitter/Engineer to join its team in Chesterfield. The role covers assembly and testing of lorry loader cranes, plus maintenance at factory and customer sites, with most work in Clowne and around the UK.

Salary is competitive and probationary or permanent status offered. 39-hour week, Mon–Fri with overtime opportunities, plus benefits including 24 days holiday and a company pension. Training will be provided to meet deadlines from day one.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical engineering experience.
• Hydraulic experience preferred.
• Experience with electrical assembly.
• Willingness to work independently and travel to customer sites in the UK.
• Good communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test lorry loader cranes.
• Maintain cranes at factory and customer sites.
• Most work based at Clowne with ~1 day/week servicing at customer sites.
• Ability to sign off lifting equipment as safe to use after training.
• Work well in a team and independently, with flexibility to switch tasks within crane department.
