About the role
We are recruiting an experienced Crane Driver for our new development in Tonbridge, Kent.
The Crane Driver will be responsible for the safe operation of tower cranes, lifting equipment, and building materials on site, adhering to all safety regulations and manufacturer instructions.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the role involves conducting risk assessments, ensuring safety for colleagues, contractors, visitors, and pedestrians, and performing maintenance checks on equipment.
Working hours are 07:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime. This is a permanent role with potential for future projects upon site completion.
About you
You should have previous experience as a Tower Crane Driver, hold a valid crane license, and have completed relevant training per HSE guidance GS 39. Knowledge of HSE Act 1974, Construction (lifting operations) Regulations 1961, Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, and Safety Signs & Signals Regulations 1996 is essential.
You must understand manual signals, judge distances accurately, and communicate effectively in English.
