Scotsman Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced bartender to craft classic cocktails and innovative drinks while delivering a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.

You will take orders, upsell, manage stock, and ensure accurate payments, while upholding strict health, safety and licensing rules across our venues.

This fast‑paced role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays, a team‑oriented mindset and a passion for great hospitality and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced bar, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
• In-depth knowledge of mixology, wine, spirits and craft beers is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for guest rapport and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, provide menus, and seat customers.
• Accurately record beverage orders and note dietary requirements or special requests.
• Suggest pairings and upsell items with strong beverage knowledge.
• Handle feedback or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Engage with patrons to build rapport and ensure satisfaction.
• Prepare and serve beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) per recipes and guest preferences.
• Select, apply garnishes, and present drinks attractively.
• Process payments (cash, debit, credit) following till procedures and flag discrepancies with shift lead.
• Monitor stock levels, restock supplies, and replace kegs or bottles as needed.
• Maintain clean bar and back‑of‑house areas and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Ensure licensing and food hygiene compliance; verify patron age and identification.
• Be aware of energy usage; switch off unused lights and equipment.
• Cooperate with other bar outlets and participate in development initiatives.
• Complete e-learning modules and study brand manuals and SOPs.
