Job summary

Compass Group UK in the UK is recruiting a driven Barista to help craft beautifully crafted drinks for Costa on a part-time basis (16 hours per week). You will deliver first-class service and perfectly crafted coffees to customers, with opportunities to progress within a company that celebrates individuality and rewards those who go beyond the plate.

Shift patterns include roughly 3 days out of 7. You will learn brewing methods, maintain a clean bar area, handle payments, and represent Costa

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
• Excellent communication and team player.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Reliable timekeeping and stability.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers.
• Keeping the bar area clean.
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards).
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator.
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates.
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques.
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs.
• Representing Costa and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations.
