Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, on behalf of Costa, is hiring a Barista on a part-time basis (16 hours per week) to craft drinks and deliver excellent customer service. You will maintain a clean bar area, handle payments, and learn brewing techniques while representing a leading hospitality brand across multiple venues.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, experienced in customer service, and capable of working under pressure with reliable timekeeping and team spirit.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is required.
• Strong communication and relation-building skills essential.
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Preparing perfectly blended drinks and serving high-quality food that delights our customers
• Keeping the bar area clean
• Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
• Being an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator
• Maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
• Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation and presentation techniques
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Representing Costa and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
