Job summary

Wavenet is seeking a CPS Platform Engineer to join our Solihull team. You will deliver proactive Managed Services, ensure cloud infrastructures run securely, and own 3rd/4th line incidents across customer platforms.

You will also contribute to project delivery, mentor colleagues, and engage with vendors to resolve issues. This role requires onsite work and occasional travel, with a focus on high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in managed services.
• Strong hypervisor knowledge (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
• Windows Server/Active Directory/SQL knowledge.
• Azure cloud platform experience.
• Automation/CLI skills (PowerShell, Ansible).
• Experience with SAN/storage and networking gear.
• ITIL-based process familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor multiple IT estates.
• Maintain and deploy solutions via continuous deployment.
• Serve as trusted advisor to customers.
• Deliver improvements across hybrid, private and public cloud environments.
• Lead on-call and incident ownership.
• Contribute to project delivery and knowledge sharing.
• Document infrastructure and architectures clearly.
• Travel to data centres as needed.
