Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting an experienced CPCS Crane / Lift Supervisor for a civil engineering project in Abergavenny. The role oversees lifting operations, ensuring safety, compliance and coordination with site management.

The successful candidate will supervise crane operators and lifting teams, self-check equipment, and maintain safe exclusion zones while following approved lifting plans and site procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS Crane / Lift Supervisor card is essential.

• Strong understanding of lifting plans and crane operations.
• Ability to brief and direct crane operators and lifting teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lifting operations per lifting plans and site procedures.
• Ensure activities comply with laws and regulations.

CPCS Crane / Lift Supervisor - £26.00 per Hour (CIS) - Abergavenny Project

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced CPCS Crane / Lift Supervisor to join a construction project in Abergavenny.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced lifting professional to join an established site team, overseeing safe and efficient lifting operations on a civil engineering project.

Pay Rates

• £26.00 per hour (CIS) - Standard hours
• £34.58 per hour (CIS) - Overtime after 10 hours
• £39.00 per hour (CIS) - Weekend work

Your Role as a CPCS Crane / Lift Supervisor

• Supervise and coordinate lifting operations in accordance with approved lifting plans and site procedures.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
• Brief and direct crane operators, slinger/signallers and lifting teams.
• Monitor lifting operations to ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
• Liaise with Appointed Persons, site management and other trades to coordinate lifting activities.
• Ensure lifting equipment is suitable, certified and inspected before use.
• Establish and maintain exclusion zones, managing lifting operations safely in challenging site conditions.
• Conduct pre-lift briefings and ensure all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Promote high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Report incidents, defects and unsafe practices immediately.

What We're Looking For

• Valid CPCS Crane / Lift Supervisor card (essential).
• Previous experience supervising lifting operations on construction or civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of lifting plans, crane operations and lifting regulations.
• Safety Critical Medical, or willingness to complete one if required.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to coordinate lifting teams and work effectively alongside site management.
• A reliable, professional and safety-focused approach.
