Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with TSS, seeks a Store Detective on Oxford Street, London. The role requires an SIA Door Supervisor licence and a minimum of 3 years in retail security, with travel within a 20 mile radius. You will provide covert security and uphold loss prevention across sites.

You will need to be 18+, a reliable team player and tech‑savvy for digital reporting. Expect induction, training, and ongoing reviews as part of our security solutions team.

Qualifications

• Must hold an SIA Door Supervisor licence.
• Minimum of 3 years of Store Detective experience.
• Aged 18 or over.
• Driving is an advantage; travel within a 20 mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Provide covert security and ensure safety of client premises and staff.
• Ensure stops are legal and safe per ASCONE guidance.
• Spot tells and suspicious behavior with high attention to detail.
• Travel between Leicester and Coventry shops.
• Detain shoplifters safely and de-escalate conflicts.
• Follow client loss prevention policy and keep staff safe.
• Deter potential troublemakers on site.
• Observe and report incidents using proper reporting systems.
• Perform duties assigned by client or manager.
• Keep site knowledge up to date and identify local developments.
• Understand and implement Fire and Safety evacuation procedures.
• Assist with staff and contractor searches if required.
• Keep security base clean and tidy.
• Present full uniform and display SIA licence.
