Cover Supervisor (with Sports/PE Cover)

Location: Middlesbrough
School Type: Mixed Secondary (11-16)
Contract: Long-Term Temporary
Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner)
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Middlesbrough. This role will include general classroom supervision as well as covering Sports and PE lessons, making it ideal for someone with a passion for physical education and experience coaching children.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise classes of up to 30 students in the absence of the teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Support PE and sports sessions, encouraging participation and teamwork.
• Manage classroom and sports hall behaviour in line with school policies.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience supervising groups of students (ideally in a classroom or sports setting).
• Coaching experience with children or young people is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners across a range of subjects.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential).
