Job summary

Wickham Park SEN School in Bromley is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to ensure continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent, supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, SLCN and autism. You will supervise lessons, adapt pre-planned activities, maintain predictable routines to aid emotional regulation, and work with SENCO and senior staff to monitor engagement and progress.

• Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils at all times
• Liaise with teaching staff, SENCO, and senior leaders to feedback on pupil engagement and progress

Set across three buildings, the school provides exceptional, modern learning facilities for up to 70 pupils aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Autism.Wickham Park School’s site has an inspiring collection of warm, nurturing classrooms; a vibrant and fully resourced library; a specialist teaching kitchen; a creative art studio; and a suite of dedicated therapeutic and co‑regulation spaces designed to support a rich diversity of needs.As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to supervise and support classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), including autism, learning difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and/or physical disabilities.
