Job summary

Horizon Care Ltd. is seeking an inspirational Assistant SENCO for Wickham Park School in Bromley.

You will support the SENCO and senior leaders in delivering high-quality education for pupils with SEND, SEMH, and communication needs within a modern, inclusive environment. QTS is preferable; you will observe students daily, work with the therapy team on interventions, and collaborate with staff to develop bespoke learning plans.

Qualifications

We are looking for an inspirational SENCO Assistant to assist the Senior Leadership team at our Wickham Park School based in Bromley

Wickham Park School is a brand-new SEN school in the heart of Bromley, South London. Set across three buildings, the school provides exceptional, modern learning facilities for up to 70 pupils aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Autism.

Wickham Park School’s site has an inspiring collection of warm, nurturing classrooms; a vibrant and fully resourced library; a specialist teaching kitchen; a creative art studio; and a suite of dedicated therapeutic and co‑regulation spaces designed to support a rich diversity of needs.

As a SENCO assistant you will primarily be assisting the SENCO in managing the day to day educational provision for the students who have a variety of SEND needs, you will be tasked with supporting the professional development of the staff team including the INSET provision.

QTS i preferable for this role and experience within a SEN provision.

You will observe individual students on a daily basis all the while working with the school therapy team to deliver targeted interventions and support.

Your role will include a high degree of collaborative working alongside the existing SLT, teaching staff and senior educational management team.
