Cover Supervisor - SEMH School (BS15)

£120-£130 per day | Full-Time | Immediate Start Five Education

Five Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient Cover Supervisor to join a specialist SEMH school in the BS15 area of Bristol, supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff, helping to maintain a positive and structured learning environment. You'll work closely with an experienced team of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who provide additional support throughout the school day.

Class sizes are deliberately kept small, with 8-10 pupils per class, allowing staff to build strong relationships with students and provide tailored support where needed.

The pupils you will support may present with:

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Behavioural challenges
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Other forms of neurodivergence
• Additional learning and communication needs

No two days are the same, and the role requires someone who can remain calm, adaptable, and positive in a dynamic school environment.

Essential Criteria

• Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30
• Right to work in the UK - we CANNOT accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
• Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
• Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one*
• *Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay

Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.

Vetting
