Supply Desk are currently seeking a confident, enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to work within a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Hemel Hempstead area, starting ASAP. You will supervise classes during teacher absences and help pupils stay engaged in their learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.

Qualificações

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Experience in a school or classroom environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence, flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classroom situations.
• A professional, reliable and positive attitude.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people's development.
• A good understanding of safeguarding procedures.
• A degree or relevant educational qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils remain on task.
• Maintain a positive, orderly and productive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policies.
• Encourage pupils to engage with learning activities and complete assigned work.
• Provide clear instructions and support pupils with their work where appropriate.
• Monitor pupil attendance, progress and behaviour during lessons.
• Report any concerns or incidents to the relevant teaching staff or senior leadership team.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils throughout the school day.
• Support the wider school team with general classroom and learning duties when required.
