Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting Cover Supervisors to join a highly regarded secondary school in the Benfleet area of Essex. You will lead lessons across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set plans, maintaining pupil engagement and supporting students throughout the school day.

The role requires strong communication and classroom management skills, with a proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to different subjects and classes while ensuring a safe, respectful learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in educational or supportive roles.
• Ability to follow pre-set lesson plans and support classroom routines.
• Strong communication and proactive classroom engagement.
• Willingness to obtain DBS Update Service if not currently held.

Randstad Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to join a highly regarded secondary school and sixth form in Benfleet. In this role, you will lead lessons across key stages using pre-set plans, keeping pupils focused, engaged, and supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects (KS3 & KS4).

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school standards and expectations.

• Create a positive, structured learning environment.

• Collect completed classwork and return it to subject departments.

What You Need

• Prior experience working with young people (e.g., teaching assistant, youth worker, sports coach, or graduate tutor).

• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

• Flexibility, confidence, and a proactive attitude.

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
