Link Education is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors in the Plumstead area.

We are looking for experienced Cover Supervisors who are interested in day-to-day supply work across Secondary Schools. The roles will be based in various schools in Plumstead and surrounding areas.

Cover Supervisor: The Role

The Cover Supervisor is expected to undertake specified teaching duties, including delivering lessons and managing the classroom. You will be responsible for engaging students with tasks aligned with the national curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach, motivate, and inspire students, working collaboratively with teachers and teaching assistants.

Cover Supervisor: The Ideal Candidate

• Passion for working in education.
• Commitment to supporting a stimulating and safe learning environment.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding policies.
• Confidence in delivering lessons with comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum.
• Ability to manage classrooms effectively and monitor behaviour appropriately.
• Experience with SEN or managing challenging behaviour is desirable.
• A QTS is not required, but other educational qualifications are preferred.
• Strong curriculum knowledge and relevant experience are essential.
• Classroom experience and referees are necessary.
• Must have a valid Enhanced DBS check, be registered with the DBS Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one immediately upon shortlisting.
• Professional, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
• Experience in the UK and understanding of safeguarding in secondary schools are essential.
