We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to help plan and deliver lessons that inspire and motivate our children and young people. With excellent communication skills, you'll help the students to overcome the technical challenges they may face in music. Your lessons will give them a solid grounding to both progress their performing arts skills and pass exams.

What you’ll do:
  1. Plan and prepare lessons in relation to the pupils' needs and examination syllabi.
  2. Prepare students for examinations (ABRSM).
  3. Motivate and encourage student progress.
  4. Assess and record the development of the students.
  5. Create musical pieces for performances.
  6. Provide excellent customer care.
What you need:
  1. BA (MUS) in Music.
  2. Level 6 Diploma.
  3. Ability to motivate and develop raw talent.
  4. Enthusiasm for teaching.
  5. Fully participate in and engage in any training provided.
  6. Ensure adherence to Safeguarding policy and practices.

As a leader within the leisure industry, we can also offer scope to progress your career and job variety like nowhere else.

As a charitable social enterprise and cooperative owned by our staff, GLL is a unique organisation for you to have a career with!

The basics:

This is a position. Hours of work will be negotiated with you in line with the needs of the service; flexible working may be possible. Working from home is not possible in this role.

We are an accredited Living Wage employer with industry-leading rates of pay.

We can offer a career, not just a job, with extensive Learning & Development support available.

A uniform will be supplied and must be worn.

GLL is Values Driven, not Profit Driven. We work hard to benefit the communities we operate in.

As a staff-owned organisation, you will be given the opportunity to join the Society and have a stake in your business.

Additional employee benefits include:
  • Access to a pension scheme.
  • Health Assurance and access to Counselling services.
