Cover Supervisor (PE)
This is a full-time post.
8.00am – 3.05pm, term time plus inset days.
Salary: £23,140 per annum including Fringe Area Allowance.
We are looking for engaging and motivated people to join our existing team of Cover Supervisors, primarily based in PE.
This post is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to move into teaching and wanting more school-based experience. At Hazelwick, this has proven to be a very successful route for graduates to gain school experience to support an application for teacher training, particularly in the highly competitive field of PE.
• As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise students when a teacher is absent. Your responsibilities will be to maintain a good learning atmosphere, assisting and supporting the students where necessary.
• As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will enable students to continue with practical PE in the absence of their teacher and assist with after school clubs and PE fixtures.
• Other duties may include being a Form Tutor, administrative tasks and supporting departments as necessary.
• We are looking for someone with experience of sports coaching as well as enthusiasm, flexibility and a can-do approach. Experience of working within a school/classroom setting or with young people is desirable. Appropriate qualifications and experience of working with 11 – 16-year-olds are desirable
• You should be IT literate, familiar with MS Office applications, with good literacy and numeracy skills
• A full support network and training programme will be provided to the successful applicant.
