Job summary

Tonbridge Grammar School is seeking a capable Cover Supervisor to join the dedicated cover team. This permanent, term-time role is for two days a week (Thursday and Friday) to support learning when teachers are absent, ensuring high standards of student behaviour and engagement.

In addition to supervising classes, responsibilities include supporting individuals or small groups, assisting with exam invigilation, and providing administrative support to curriculum areas as required by the Line

Qualifications

• Efficient, well-organised and enthusiastic individual.
• Experience supporting student learning in a school setting.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Job description

We are seeking an efficient, well-organised and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our committed and hard-working cover team. This is a permanent role working 2 days a week (Thursday and Friday), term time only. Join our friendly Cover Team The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students' learning by supervising lessons in the absence of teaching staff. Working closely with colleagues across the school, you will help ensure that learning continues productively and that high standards of behaviour, engagement and achievement are maintained. In addition to supervising whole classes, the role may include:

• Supporting individual students and small groups with their learning
• Assisting with the administration and invigilation of internal and external examinations
• Undertaking supervisory duties as required
• Providing administrative support to curriculum departments
• Carrying out other reasonable duties commensurate with the role, as directed by the Line Manager
