Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Ashington
Salary: GBP100 - GBP120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term

GSL Education are recruiting a proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in schools in Ashington. This is a flexible opportunity ideal for individuals considering a future in education or those with previous classroom experience.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lesson plans and maintaining classroom order during teacher absences. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuity in students' education and provides an excellent stepping stone into teaching.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Ensure students remain on task and follow the provided lesson materials.
• Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the school s policies.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and conduct.
• Support students in understanding the assigned work and encourage participation.

Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or working with young people in an educational setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to lead confidently.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible, resilient, and proactive attitude.

• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
