Job summary

TeacherActive is actively recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of welcoming secondary schools around Brecon and the surrounding areas.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour and ensure pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning, across KS3 and KS4, in a flexible role that includes day-to-day supply, short-term and longer-term positions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a UK Secondary School environment
• Confidence supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting teaching and learning
• A genuine passion for education and helping young people achieve their potential

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused on their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a UK Secondary School environment
• Confidence supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
