Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support Secondary and middle schools in St Albans and surrounding areas. The role involves stepping into classrooms when teachers are absent, with all work pre-planned to keep pupils on task.

The position offers flexible, short-term bookings and immediate start for candidates with classroom experience. A DBS update service (or willingness to apply) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or in a school setting is desired.
• Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills.
• Flexible, reliable and adaptable across year groups.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervising lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to support a network of welcoming Secondary schools and middle schools across St Albans and the surrounding areas. This flexible role is ideal for those with classroom experience or aspiring teachers looking to gain valuable experience in a school setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom when the regular teacher is absent, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with the learning. All work is pre-planned - your focus is on delivering it effectively and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
