Job summary

Bradgate Education Partnership is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for Wreake Valley Academy on a fixed term contract until 22 August 2027. The role is 18–30 hours per week with a salary range of £27,717–£29,076 FTE.

Start date ASAP with a closing date of 28 September 2026 at 9:00am. Responsibilities include delivering pre-prepared lessons in various subjects, maintaining a constructive learning environment, and supporting students to engage with their learning.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children or young people in an educational or post-16 context.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support teaching and learning across the academy. The role offers flexibility, with working hours ranging from 18 to 30 hours per week (3 to 5 days). Specific working patterns and hours can be discussed at interview.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of teaching staff. Maintain a positive, productive, and focused learning environment. Build effective relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community. Support students to remain engaged with their learning and achieve their potential. Gain invaluable classroom experience, making this an ideal role for aspiring teachers.

The ideal candidate will have:

• An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or a related field.
• Experience of working with children or young people in an educational or post.
