Job summary

Moorside High School, part of Consilium Academies, seeks a Cover Supervisor to supervise classes during short-term absences and keep students engaged in learning. You will promote high standards of behaviour and support with form registration and school activities.

You will work with graduates and experienced colleagues to foster inclusion and ensure every student progresses. The role offers development opportunities within the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during short-term teaching staff absences.
• Ensure students stay engaged, complete work, and progress.
• Build positive relationships with students and promote high behaviour standards.
• Contribute to school culture of aspiration, inclusion and success.
• Support form registration, examinations, and educational visits.
• Assist with wider school activities as needed.

Job description

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged in learning, complete the work set and continue to make progress. You will build positive relationships with students, promote high standards of behaviour and contribute to our culture of aspiration, inclusion and success. You may also support with form registration, examinations, educational visits and wider school activities.
