Job summary

Connex Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools in Stroud and surrounding areas. You will supervise lessons in the absence of the teacher, ensuring pupils stay engaged and focused on learning.

Flexible start dates from November 2026 with both short-term and long-term placements. Competitive daily rates (£120–£160) paid weekly via PAYE, with training provided and clear progression routes into teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in any setting is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence managing groups of students in classroom settings.
• Reliable, adaptable, and proactive in a school environment.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities; Enhanced DBS Update Service preferred.
