Education Cover Supervisor
RCT Area

Are you passionate about education and looking for a flexible opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our team, providing high-quality classroom supervision across secondary schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) area.

Location: Various Secondary Schools across the RCT area

Contract: Flexible Basis, Part-Time & Full-Time Available

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a productive and engaging learning environment for secondary aged students in the RCT area while their subject teacher is absent. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Classroom Management: Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring that students are engaged in their learning activities.
  • Supporting Learning: Providing assistance to students during lessons and addressing any questions they may have.
  • Maintaining Discipline: Upholding the school's behaviour policies and ensuring a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Adaptability: Successfully stepping into the shoes of absent teachers, maintaining continuity in education.

Key Requirements:

  • Educational Background: A degree in Education or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Prior experience in classroom management, teaching assistance, or youth engagement is desirable.
  • Flexibility: Open to working on a flexible basis, both part-time and full-time, as well as being able to choose your working days.
  • Vetting Procedures: All candidates must have or be willing to process an Enhanced DBS and EWC registration. Teaching Personnel can support these applications.
  • Strong Communication: Effective communication skills to engage students and collaborate with school staff.
  • Passion: A genuine passion for education and a desire to inspire and support students in their learning journey.
