The Role

You'll work in one of our vibrant virtual learning centres alongside a supportive team to nurture 100's of fearless learners who attend their sessions every week.

Your key objectives are to:

  • Teach - bring our mission to life; tailor your teaching approach and support our members to achieve consistent progress
  • Inspire – build strong relationships; inspire all children to become fearless learners
  • Demonstrate Progress – support children to recognise progress; develop their reflective skills to be able to identify their own progress
  • Deliver quality customer experience - inspire your members and their families; support their needs to ensure they get the most of our service whilst prioritising safeguarding and member wellbeing at all times

Logistics

The application process:

Stage one : Submit your cv and complete your application.

Stage two : Complete an assessment that involves a short maths and English test and a 2-question video interview.

Stage three : Take part in a live Teams interview with a member of our recruitment team.

How does it work?:

  • You'll work consistent hours per week; you can request as many hours as you'd like as long as it's more than your minimum of 8 contracted weekly hours
  • You'll work with the same children every week
  • Our shifts are after school hours, and weekends
  • You'll be paid hourly based on your age, and the number of hours you work

Your starting hourly pay will be:

*All tutors receive further uplifts to their base hourly pay due to holiday entitlement and based on the number of hours they have worked. On top of your tutoring shifts, you will be paid for all of your training and induction sessions.

  • A grade 6 or above in maths and English Language GCSE (or equivalent)
  • To be age 17 or over
  • To have a right to work in the UK and be living in the UK for the duration of your employment
  • To have access to a laptop or desktop computer with stable internet connection during tuition sessions - minimum 5mbps upload and 10mbps download speed
  • Have more than 8 hours availability during our opening times (after school and weekends)

All successful applicants will undertake employment reference checks, and a Disclosure & Barring Service check or PVG check. Please note, this role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order1975, 2013 and 2020.
