Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Salary: £90 - £120 per day

We are looking to recruit passionate Cover Supervisors to work in a number of our Secondary Schools in Manchester.

The position offers an excellent opportunity for you to gain further school-based experience before moving onto teacher training in the future.

As a cover supervisor, you will:

• Deliver high-quality, pre-planned lessons to pupils aged 11 to 16.
• Effectively manage and lead classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils' safety and access to learning activities, as well as understanding the information presented.
• Encourage pupils to interact within the class and engage in activities throughout the lesson.
• Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment.
• Provide detailed feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement, progress, and any issues that arise.
• Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policies, and encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their behaviour.
• Uphold policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Have recent experience working as a cover supervisor or teaching assistant within a secondary school setting.
• Have the right to work in the UK.

• Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
