Job summary

First Class Supply are recruiting Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Northumberland, including Morpeth. You will manage the classroom, ensuring students stay on task with the set work and adapt to changing needs.

Applications are welcome from experienced Cover Supervisors or graduates with substantial experience working with young people; strong behaviour management skills are essential; you must be proactive, energetic and reliable and flexible for short notice placements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cover Supervisor or a degree with substantial experience working with young people, ideally in a classroom setting.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour in the classroom.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable attitude.
• Flexible to work at short notice as required by schools.

As a Cover Supervisor you will manage the classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.

To apply for this position you must:

• either be an experienced Cover Supervisor, or hold a degree in addition to having significant experience of working with young people, ideally in a classroom environment
• have the skills to manage challenging behaviour in the classroom
• be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
• be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises.
