Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join Paddington Academy, a high-performing school with a relentless focus on high standards and student success. We are seeking an exceptional teacher and leader to head our Economics department, as we continue to grow and enhance our KS5 provision.

Paddington Academy, judged outstanding by OFSTED in 2023, caters to 1,200 students aged 11-18 and has a large Sixth Form with over 300 students. Our students achieve excellent outcomes, with 95% progressing to university, including 45% at Russell Group institutions.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Economics teacher who is enthusiastic about delivering engaging lessons, developing students' understanding of economic principles, and contributing to a collaborative department that values professional growth and research-informed practice.

The role includes curriculum development, leading high-quality teaching, and supporting a team of teachers. As a middle leader, you will have the autonomy to shape curriculum design and teaching strategies, impacting student outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence.
