Cover Supervisors play a vital role in maintaining classroom continuity and supporting student learning when regular teaching staff are absent. In this role, you step into high school classrooms to manage group behavior, deliver pre-set work left by absent subject teachers, and keep pupils focused and safe. Role Overview

• Classroom Supervision: Supervise pupils aged 11-16 across various secondary departments in The Wirral, ensuring a calm, structured, and productive learning environment.


• Deliver Set Work: Distribute and guide students through lesson plans and learning tasks prepared in advance by regular teaching staff.


• Student Engagement: Answer basic student queries, manage classroom dynamics, and keep pupils on task throughout the lesson.


• Flexibility & Immediate Work: Enjoy the choice of immediate daily morning bookings, part-time shifts, or ongoing long-term block placements.

Requirements

• Experience: Background working with or supporting young people (aged 11-16) in education, youth clubs, sports coaching, care, or community leadership.
