Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Fareham is seeking confident Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the Fareham area, on a day-to-day or longer-term basis.

You will supervise classes when regular teachers are absent, deliver pre-prepared work, and help maintain engagement and behaviour in the learning environment. Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply for flexible full-time opportunities.

• Experience working with young people is essential.

Cover Supervisor - Fareham

Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across the Fareham area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting students and schools on a day‑to‑day or long‑term basis.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and complete the work that has been set. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting high standards of behaviour across the classroom.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers, tutors, and experienced education professionals looking to build their experience within secondary education.

The Role:

• Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 in the absence of the class teacher
• Deliver pre‑prepared lesson materials and instructions
• Ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support students with lesson activities where appropriate
• Cover a range of subjects across the secondary curriculum
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson outcomes
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

• Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
• Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
