A leading educational institution is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support learning activities during staff absences. This permanent position requires excellent numeracy and literacy skills, along with experience in child care. Salary: £28,163 - £31,067 per annum
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to join our team at Chorlton High School.
This is a Grade 5, permanent full-time position working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £24,224 pro rata, with a full-time equivalent of £28,163.
Main purpose of the job:
You will support the management and development of a specialist area in school or across a department, and/or lead and deploy teaching assistants to address students' needs and help overcome barriers to learning.
About The Candidate
We’re looking for:
Cover Supervisors to deliver agreed learning activities to whole classes during staff absences, ensuring continuous educational provision.
You will plan, prepare, and deliver lessons, assess student progress, and record assessments appropriately.
You need excellent numeracy and literacy skills, qualified to NVQ L2 or higher, with experience working with or caring for children of relevant age, and an understanding of the national/foundation stage curriculum and basic learning strategies.
