Job summary

Aspire People Limited is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Camden. This is a great entry to teaching, youth work, or education roles, offering flexible full-time, part-time, and supply options with daily rates of £100–£105.

As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise classes during teacher absences, deliver pre-planned work, manage behaviour, and provide feedback to staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in school or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management.
• Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work independently with groups of students aged 11-16.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absences for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure completion of work.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with policies.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons.

Aspire People is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Camden. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable school-based experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning and that lessons run smoothly using pre-set work provided by teaching staff.

The Role

• Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 during teacher absences.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students complete assigned work.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
• Supporting schools with day-to-day, short-term, and long-term cover requirements.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar setting.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence working independently with groups of students aged 11-16.
• A professional, flexible, and proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
